Bournemouth Climbs to Second with Win; Wolves’ Poor Run Continues

Bournemouth continued their excellent start to the English Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. With this win, the team has moved to second place in the league table, securing 18 points from nine games. Captain Marcus Tavernier scored the first goal in the 25th minute directly from a corner. The lead was doubled in the 40th minute by 19-year-old Eli Corpi, who also scored two goals in the previous match.

Meanwhile, Burnley secured a 3-2 victory over Wolves in a crucial match concerning the relegation battle. The loss keeps Wolves at the bottom of the table with just two points and still without a win. The victory helped Burnley climb to the 16th position. Burnley established an early 2-0 lead after Zian Flemming scored twice inside the first 30 minutes. However, Wolves managed to draw level before the first half ended, thanks to a penalty from Larsen and a goal by Marshall. The match was decided in the 95th minute when substitute Lyle Foster scored the winner, condemning Wolves to their seventh defeat of the season.
