Vedat Muriqi reacts to Samuel Eto’o’s congratulations

RCD Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi recently shared his appreciation for Samuel Eto’o, who sent him a video message congratulating him for breaking the La Liga goalscoring record with the club.

Muriqi, the Kosovan international, was taken aback by the message he received a few days after surpassing the Cameroonian’s record as Mallorca’s all-time leading scorer. He expressed gratitude for Eto’o’s recognition and acknowledged the significant contributions Eto’o made during his tenure at RCD Mallorca.

I wasn’t expecting it. First of all, thank you very much, especially coming from a true legend like Samuel Eto’o. I’m very grateful for his words. I know he did a tremendous job here, and everyone knows the career he had afterward. I sincerely thank him for taking the time to record this video to congratulate me. I’ve been a professional for 15 or 16 years, and if someone had told me back then that one day Samuel Eto’o would send me a video, I would have thought it impossible—a joke. Yet, here we are today. I’m very proud of myself. A huge thank you to him for the video. And as I always say: thank you to my teammates, to all the club staff, to the fans, and to my family. I really mean it when I say that without you, it would have been impossible to achieve this. A huge thank you to everyone.

Una sorpresa muy especial para el pirata 🦁🤝🏻🏴‍☠️
