Super League Kerala: Kannur’s Semi-Final Chances Explained
Here is a breakdown of the possible scenarios for Kannur Warriors to reach the semi-finals of the Super League Kerala.
Kannur Warriors FC must win their match against Thrissur Magic FC, scheduled for December 2 at the Thrissur Corporation Stadium. A victory would place them in the third position with thirteen points from ten games, consisting of three wins, four draws, and three losses.
If their match ends in a draw, Kannur will be eliminated from the tournament. Even if they win, their semi-final qualification will depend on the results of two other matches: Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC vs. Calicut FC on December 3, and Malappuram FC vs. Forces Kochi FC on December 4.
Kannur can secure a semi-final spot if both Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram lose their games. They can also qualify if one of those teams wins while the other loses. Furthermore, if the match between Malappuram and Forces Kochi ends in a draw, Kannur will advance. However, Kannur will be knocked out based on goal difference if Malappuram wins their game and the Thiruvananthapuram vs. Calicut match ends in a draw.
