Sørloth Attracts Premier League Interest: Newcastle Scouts Watch Him at Madrid Derby

After Alexander Isak moved to Liverpool for €150 million, Newcastle is searching for a new striker to lead their attack and has pinpointed their top candidate.

Details: Marca reports that representatives of the English club were present at the recent derby between Atlético and Real to evaluate Alexander Sørloth’s performance. Their observations were mostly positive. The Norwegian made a strong impression with a goal and his aerial ability. Early in the match, Sørloth created a risky opportunity against Courtois and later scored himself.

It is still uncertain if this interest will result in a formal offer, but Atlético recognizes that demand for Sørloth is increasing.

Sørloth’s contract extends until 2028, with a current salary of around €3 million per season. At Newcastle, he could anticipate a considerable salary increase.

Reminder: Newcastle may also look to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen.
