Simone Inzaghi reacts with surprise to Kalidou Koulibaly’s injury details.

Kalidou Koulibaly, the Senegalese defender, has been sidelined with an unusual injury for several weeks after a collision with a teammate during training. The incident occurred while the player was participating in drills, leading to his inability to take the field for Al Hilal.

Koulibaly’s absence was notably felt during Al Hilal’s recent match against Damac in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday. Following the game, manager Simone Inzaghi addressed the media regarding Koulibaly’s condition and expressed his disbelief at the nature of the injury.

In 30 years of experience in football, I have never seen an injury comparable to Koulibaly’s. It is very strange! A minor collision between Kalidou Koulibaly and his teammate in training caused a subcutaneous haematoma in the affected area.
