The Senegalese women’s football team faced Burkina Faso on Monday, April 13, in the first leg of their two-legged tie. Senegal got off to a strong start with Sokhna Nogaye Pene scoring in the 2nd minute, bringing the score to 1-0.
However, the rest of the match was filled with tension, as both teams fought hard but couldn’t find the back of the net again. It was a closely contested battle, but the final whistle confirmed Senegal’s narrow victory. The two teams will meet again for the second friendly match on Thursday, April 16.
