Sebastien Haller, the Ivorian striker, has articulated his aspirations following his absence from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Determined not to miss another opportunity, Haller is focused on the upcoming 2026 World Cup after Côte d’Ivoire failed to qualify for the 2022 tournament in Qatar.
In a recent interview, Haller emphasized that participating in the 2026 World Cup is his primary objective. As a pivotal figure in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Ivory Coast, he is eager to contribute further to his national team’s success.
I have to be there. I might have been less motivated if I’d known in advance that it wouldn’t be possible. We narrowly missed out on the 2022 World Cup, which was a huge disappointment. But now that we’ve qualified, my absolute goal is to be there too.
