Mohamed Salah Encouraged to Move from Liverpool to Become ‘Bigger’ than Cristiano Ronaldo

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Mohamed Salah has built an impressive legacy with the club.

However, this season, his relationship with Liverpool appears to be strained.

Salah notably expressed concerns after being benched for three consecutive games. Following this, there have been rumors about his possible departure from England.

Ian Paul Joy believes Mohamed Salah would be a great addition to the Saudi Pro League

Last season, Salah had an outstanding year, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists. His contributions played a key role in Liverpool winning the Premier League.

Despite this success, Salah’s recent treatment has raised eyebrows, affecting his performance.

With the winter transfer window approaching, Joy suggested on CBS Sports that moving to the Saudi Pro League could be beneficial for Salah.

“I believe both parties would welcome this. Salah would be an amazing addition to the Saudi Pro League,” Joy stated.

“His language skills would resonate with many in that region,” he added.

Joy emphasized that to expand the league’s appeal, having a player like Salah—who is both iconic and relatable—is essential.

While Salah is indeed a prominent figure, the question remains if he is ready for a league often viewed as a choice for players nearing retirement.

Joy suggests Salah could surpass Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact in the SPL

Joy further argued that if Salah moves to Saudi Arabia, his influence could surpass that of Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Salah would certainly be in demand from the Saudi Pro League. They have the financial means to attract him, and given his profile and language skills, he could be bigger than Ronaldo in that context,” Joy concluded.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in 2022 after leaving Manchester United. Will Salah take a similar path? Fans will soon find out as the winter transfer window opens in less than 20 days.
