Romelu Lukaku Meets with Napoli Management to Discuss His Future in Naples

Both parties have agreed to start anew.

Romelu Lukaku will continue with Napoli.

Details: As reported by respected journalist Ben Jacobs on his X social media account, 32-year-old striker Romelu Lukaku recently met with Napoli executives to discuss and resolve issues stemming from his unexpected trip to Belgium without notifying the club.

The meeting was reportedly calm, and both sides have agreed that Lukaku will head to Belgium today to recover from his injury under the supervision of Napoli’s medical team. Following his recovery, he will return to Italy to resume play for the team.

There is no ongoing discussion regarding Lukaku’s suspension or exclusion from the squad.

Lukaku joined Napoli from Chelsea in 2024 for €30 million. Since then, he has played 45 matches for Napoli, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current transfer value stands at €12 million.

Reminder: Napoli is set to exclude one of their key players from the squad.
