Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced that it will temporarily suspend all contract extension negotiations with its players. According to reports from L’Équipe, the decision aims to allow the club to concentrate fully on its pursuit of glory in the UEFA Champions League.
This decision was reportedly made collectively by club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, sporting director Luis Campos, and head coach Luis Enrique. The management believes that discussions regarding players’ futures could potentially distract the team during this critical phase of the season.
Reports indicate that negotiations with multiple players have already been paused and are set to resume only after the conclusion of the European campaign. This strategy represents the third consecutive season in which PSG’s management has adopted this approach.
