Luis Enrique says PSG have unlocked a new winning strategy by being defensively solid after their win against Bayern in the Champions League semi-final.

Here’s everything Enrique said after beating Bayern 6-5 on aggregate.

“Highlighting particular players would be very unfair, because each one has shown their level, especially in this final stretch of the Champions League,” Enrique said

“It’s curious not to have been able to field the same starting eleven as in last year’s Champions League final, right here in Munich. It’s unbelievable! It shows what kind of team we are.”

“We had the worst possible draw in the group stage, as always, and then it always happened that if we wanted one thing, we got something else.”

“We’re going to play in the next final; it will be historic for us as a club and the chance to keep fighting to win the Champions League.”

“We made history last year, we want to carry on that momentum and bring positivity to the club.”

“We knew it would be tough, but we reminded ourselves that we had beaten them in Paris, so why couldn’t we beat them here?

“I think today, we’ve crossed a new threshold in our approach to matches. We’re not very used to defending, but we defended like angels, and I think we really deserved to advance.”

“I have a lot of affection for Arteta because we were teammates when he was very young at Barcelona. He’s built a great team, he’s been there for several years now, and you can clearly see what kind of coach he is.

“I know it will be very difficult, but we have great confidence in our style of play, in our goals, and I’m sure we’ll fight to the end,” Enrique said.
