After midweek matches, here’s the latest edition of our Premier League Team of the Week.

Goalkeeper: Aaron Ramsdale – Newcastle

Ramsdale returned to the lineup following Nick Pope’s recent difficulties. His performance featured key saves from Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, helping 10-man Newcastle secure a significant win against Manchester United.

Centre-back: James Hill – Bournemouth

Hill continues to be a key player for Bournemouth. In the goalless draw against Brighton, he made 11 clearances and won nine out of 11 defensive duels, showcasing his reliability.

Centre-back: James Tarkowski – Everton

Tarkowski faced some criticism earlier this season, but he delivered when it mattered against Burnley. His goal helped Everton end their winless streak at Hill Dickinson Stadium, contributing to a clean sheet.

Centre-back: Gabriel – Arsenal

Gabriel was instrumental in Arsenal’s win against Brighton. He made eight clearances in the first half and finished the match with a total of 14, marking him as a key presence in defense, especially without William Saliba.

Midfield: Joelinton – Newcastle

Joelinton made a notable impact in the match against Manchester United, contributing significantly to the midfield even when Newcastle was down to 10 men. He outplayed Brazil teammate Casemiro in their matchup.

Midfield: Andre – Wolves

Andre’s late goal secured a victory over Liverpool as Wolves made history by defeating the champions with a last-minute goal. This was his first goal in 67 appearances, and he maintained a passing accuracy of 95.6% throughout the match.

Midfield: Elliot Anderson – Nottingham Forest

Anderson showed great performance against Manchester City, potentially earning attention for next season. His strike from outside the box could play a crucial role in the relegation battle.

Right-wing: Ismaila Sarr – Crystal Palace

Sarr capitalized on Spurs’ struggles, converting a penalty and scoring again before halftime. His speed was a key factor in Crystal Palace’s win, easing their relegation concerns.

Left-wing: Alejandro Garnacho – Chelsea

Garnacho shined in his start against Aston Villa, creating six chances and completing every pass he attempted. His contributions were key to Chelsea’s performance.

Forward: Morgan Gibbs-White – Nottingham Forest

Gibbs-White played well alongside Igor Jesus, scoring a backheeled goal that proved critical in leveling the match against Manchester City.

Forward: Joao Pedro – Chelsea

Joao Pedro recorded his first Premier League hat-trick, boosting Chelsea’s Champions League ambitions. With eight goals in the last eight games, his form has been outstanding.
