Nottingham Forest Targets Celtic’s Star Player Again
Nottingham Forest is reportedly keen to finalize a transfer deal for Belgian midfielder Arne Engels. The club is set to reopen negotiations with Celtic for the 22-year-old player, according to TEAMtalk.
Nottingham had made an earlier attempt to sign Engels in January, offering £25 million, but the negotiations did not lead to an agreement with Celtic at that time.
Besides Nottingham, Lazio from Italy has also expressed interest, indicating potential competition for the talented midfielder. This season, Engels has made a significant impact at Celtic, featuring in 40 matches, scoring 5 goals, and providing 7 assists.
Engels’ current contract with Celtic runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated at €18 million by Transfermarkt.
