Nicolas Pepe Pledges to Give His All for Ivory Coast

Villarreal striker Nicolas Pepe has expressed his readiness to answer his nation’s call as the Ivory Coast prepares for future international competitions. His omission from the Elephants’ squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco had raised eyebrows among fans and analysts alike.

However, Pepe has been recalled by coach Emerse Fae for the upcoming friendlies against South Korea and Scotland during the March 2026 international break. In an interview with FlashScore, Pepe emphasized his commitment to represent his country passionately whenever summoned.

When the country calls you, you answer the call. So if they call me, I’ll give my all until the bitter end, as they say. Because it’s the homeland and you do everything for the country.

Currently in fine form with Villarreal in La Liga, Pepe could potentially be part of Emerse Fae’s squad for the World Cup scheduled for next summer, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
