Manchester City agrees to new contract with star player
Manchester City has successfully secured their homegrown talent, Phil Foden, for the foreseeable future.
Foden remains a key player in Pep Guardiola’s squad. According to reputed journalist and insider David Ornstein, posting on his X social media page, Manchester City has reached an agreement for a new contract with the 25-year-old attacking midfielder.
Details reveal that Foden’s new contract will extend until 2030, with an option for an additional year. He is also set to benefit from improved financial terms. Currently, only final details are pending before the official announcement of the new contract.
This season, Foden has made 46 appearances for Manchester City, contributing 10 goals and 5 assists. His existing contract was initially valid until 2027, with his transfer value estimated at €80 million by Transfermarkt.
