Malian league matches set for Saturday have been cancelled.

The Malian Football Federation has announced the postponement of two key matches in the 2025–2026 Malian Ligue 1 season, citing security concerns in the country. The matches, originally set for Saturday, April 25, included a fixture between Derby Academie and Stade Malien, as well as AFE hosting FC Malicoura.

This decision comes amid escalating tensions following a series of violent incidents across Mali. On the morning of April 25, gunfire was reported in the capital city of Bamako and several other towns. The attackers have engaged with army positions, leading to heightened security alerts throughout the nation.
