Luis Enrique explains why he refused to shake Endrick’s hand after the match

PSG head coach Luis Enrique has labeled Endrick, the Lyon forward, as a “disrespectful kid.”

This incident certainly doesn’t help the reputation of modern football.

Details: Enrique commented on a moment during the recent match when Endrick approached him for a handshake but was ignored.

Enrique admitted that he chose to ignore Endrick:

“I deliberately ignored Endrick because I can’t stand disrespectful kids,” he said.

It’s easy to see why Luis was upset, as his team suffered a crucial 1-2 home loss, with Endrick scoring one goal and assisting another, playing a key role in Lyon’s triumph.

Endrick joined Lyon on loan from Real Madrid at the beginning of 2026. He has already made 17 appearances for the French club, netting 7 goals and providing 7 assists.

Reminder: This season, PSG has lost more matches than in the previous two seasons combined.
