English football club Liverpool is reportedly in search of a new goalkeeper, eyeing Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Chevalier as a potential replacement for the departing Alisson Becker. According to noted journalist Ekrem Konur on his X social media page, the club is seriously considering the 24-year-old French shot-stopper.
Chevalier, who lost his position to Matvey Safonov at PSG, is likely to seek a transfer in search of more playing time. Liverpool believes that after Alisson’s exit, Chevalier could step in as the first-choice goalkeeper, potentially receiving substantial playing minutes.
Having joined PSG last summer from Lille for €40 million, Chevalier’s season was hindered by injuries, limiting his appearances. This current season, he has played in 26 matches, conceding 28 goals while keeping 10 clean sheets. His contract with PSG runs until 2030, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €30 million.
