Johor Players Assault Medical Staff at Champions League Match

A scuffle occurred during the AFC Champions League quarterfinal match between Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli and Malaysia’s Johor.

Details: In the 37th minute, a serious incident took place when Al-Ahli defender Ali Majrashi, while falling, accidentally hit Johor forward Ager Akeche in the head. This left Akeche unconscious.

The situation escalated due to a slow response from the medical team. Johor’s players had to physically push the medics onto the pitch to ensure Akeche received urgent care.

Majrashi received a straight red card for the foul, and Akeche was substituted in the 41st minute.

Despite being a man down since the 19th minute, Al-Ahli managed to secure a 2-1 victory over Johor, advancing to the Champions League semifinals.
