Hubert Yao Joins FC Nordsjælland

Hubert Yao, a promising young striker from Ivory Coast, is set to join Danish club FC Nordsjælland in 2028. The transfer will take place when he turns 18, allowing him to finalize his move to the European club.

Yao has already begun to make a mark on the international stage, having represented the Ivory Coast U17 national team. He participated in the U17 World Cup held in Qatar in 2025 and is also preparing for the upcoming U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

FC Nordsjælland expressed interest in securing Yao’s talents even before he reached the age of majority. The club is keen to add the young striker to their roster once he meets the age requirement.

Upon the announcement of his contract, Yao expressed his excitement.

I am very happy that my move to FC Nordsjælland when I turn 18 has now been confirmed. It is a childhood dream come true, and my family and I are very proud. I can’t wait to play my first match for the club.
