Ghana’s U20 women’s football team has secured their place in the upcoming U20 Women’s World Cup after defeating Uganda in a closely contested two-legged tie.
The final match, which concluded on Saturday, May 9, was part of the fourth and final round of the African qualifiers for the tournament set to take place in Poland this year. Ghana emerged victorious with a 3-2 aggregate score.
In the first leg, Ghana claimed a 2-1 win, while the second leg ended in a 1-1 draw, solidifying their spot in the prestigious tournament scheduled for 2026.
