German Referee Set to Officiate Egyptian Premier League Match

Robert Schröder has been appointed as the referee for the highly anticipated clash between Zamalek and Al Ahly. This match is set to take place on Friday, May 1, as part of the Egyptian league play-offs.

The rivalry between Zamalek and Al Ahly is renowned for its intensity, and previous encounters have often been marred by controversies regarding refereeing decisions. Such disputes have prompted the two clubs to frequently call for oversight from foreign referees.

In response to this ongoing concern, the Egyptian league has appointed German referee Robert Schröder to officiate the match. The derby is scheduled to kick off at 5 PM GMT at Cairo International Stadium.
