Egypt Awaits News on Emam Ashour

Emam Ashour, an Egyptian international midfielder, was substituted due to injury during Al Ahly’s league match against ENPPI on May 5. The incident occurred when Ashour collapsed on the pitch, prompting him to request a substitution.

Initial medical assessments indicate that Ashour has suffered a bruised knee. Al Ahly’s medical team has announced that the player will undergo further tests on Wednesday to accurately assess the extent of his injury.

This injury poses a significant concern for the Egyptian national team as they gear up for the upcoming World Cup, scheduled to take place this summer across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. If the injury is deemed serious, it could prevent Ashour from participating in the tournament.
