Croatian national team captain faces serious facial injury and may miss World Cup as season ends.

Bad news for Croatia and Milan.

The legendary Luka gives his all on the pitch.

Details: Today it was revealed that 40-year-old Milan and Croatian national team midfielder Luka Modrić has been diagnosed with a double fracture of the cheekbone, sustained during yesterday’s Serie A match against Juventus.

Reports indicate that Modrić will not play again this season, but he is expected to recover in time for the World Cup, where he will likely have to wear a protective mask.

At the World Cup, Croatia will face England, Panama, and Ghana in Group L.

This season, Modrić has played 36 matches for Milan, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. His current contract with the Rossoneri runs until the summer, and his market value is estimated at 4 million euros by Transfermarkt.
