The club Colombe has successfully appealed a recent sanction imposed for its controversial boycott of the Cameroon Super Cup. Initially facing a hefty fine of 30 million CFA francs, the club will now only be required to pay 5 million CFA francs following the ruling by the Appeals Committee of the Cameroonian Football Federation.
In addition to the club’s reduced penalties, individual sanctions on Coach Richard Towa and club president Edjiane have also been modified. Towa’s suspension has been shortened from six months to just one month, and his fine has been significantly reduced from 5 million to 300,000 CFA francs.
Edjiane’s penalty has been similarly decreased, with his suspension reduced from twelve months to six. Notably, despite being excluded from the upcoming 2026 Cameroon Cup, Colombe has been reinstated in the competition.
