Bayern’s Bold Stance: Keeping Kane Safe From Barca’s Clutches

Footem.in – Bayern Munich is reportedly prepared to break its own internal rules to offer Harry Kane a new, long-term contract.

This move comes after the English striker’s outstanding performance early in the season, with 22 goals in 16 matches, helping Bayern win every game so far.

However, his future is in question because a release clause of approximately €75.8 million (IDR 1.2 Trillion) will become active next summer, and Barcelona is reportedly interested in signing him.

Kane is currently under contract until June 2027, but the next 18 months are considered crucial for his future in Germany. Interest from major clubs, especially Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur, has prompted Bayern to act quickly to secure his signature for longer.

The 32-year-old striker joined Bayern in August 2023 for a transfer fee of around €113.7 million (IDR 1.8 Trillion) from Tottenham Hotspur. Since then, he has become a key player in the attack and performed consistently under coach Vincent Kompany.

Bayern’s policy has typically been to offer only one-year extensions to players over 30. However, according to reports, the club’s management is ready to make an exception for Kane because of his outstanding contributions since arriving at the Allianz Arena.

The club is reportedly preparing a new contract proposal with a longer duration to ensure the England national team captain stays. They also hope the team’s stable performance under Kompany will convince Kane that his future is still bright at Bayern.

On the other hand, rumors suggest that Kane is open to the possibility of joining Barcelona next summer. The Spanish club believes Kane could be a natural successor to Robert Lewandowski, whose performance is declining due to age.

Sources close to the player reveal that Kane enjoys his life in Munich, both on and off the field. He reportedly feels comfortable with the team’s playing style and his good relationship with teammates and coaching staff.

In an interview last month, Kane mentioned that he could imagine staying longer at Bayern if the team’s conditions and achievements continue to improve.

He also added that there have been no official talks regarding a contract extension, but he is open to discussing it in the future.

Kane stated that his main focus is currently on bringing Bayern as much success as possible in all competitions. He believes the team is in a very good moment and does not want to be distracted by transfer issues or future speculation.

Regarding the possibility of returning to the Premier League, Kane admitted that his views have changed since moving to Germany. While he previously believed he would return, he now feels that desire is diminishing with the comfort he feels at Bayern.
