Barcelona Player Under Scrutiny as Referees Deny Atlético Madrid Penalty

On Tuesday, April 14, the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg unfolded as Barcelona visited Atlético Madrid. A controversial moment arose just before halftime.

Details: Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo made a run into Atlético Madrid’s penalty area, where he was challenged by two Atlético defenders. Olmo went down and appealed for a penalty, but the referees opted not to intervene.

In another incident, Barcelona midfielder Fermín López collided with Atlético’s goalkeeper, resulting in a nose injury and noticeable bleeding.
