Mikel Arteta Confirms Bukayo Saka Is Set to Return for Arsenal Ahead of Newcastle Showdown

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is likely to return to the squad for this weekend’s Premier League match against Newcastle.

In his pre-match press conference, Arteta mentioned that both Saka and Riccardo Califoria are fit for selection after recovering from injuries. He expressed optimism regarding Saka’s expected involvement in the game.

“No [issues]. Bukayo is probably going to be in the squad. So, good news. Riccardo in the squad.” “We’ve given him some time. There was a moment where he was struggling to sustain his performances because he wasn’t comfortable at all.

“We’ve done that, he had the right treatment, the right space and had some time for himself too. It’s now the most important time of the season and he’s back with us.”

Saka has been out of action since Arsenal’s League Cup final defeat to Manchester City last month due to an Achilles injury, a period during which the team’s performance has faltered.
